involved in porting Office to Linux, Steve Sinofsky, vice president of
Microsoft Office, said "I can't talk about that right now... Linux is not
there yet for end-user
productivity applications. Lots of factors need to gel before we make a
commitment..."
"... Last week, Unix expert and technical author Simson Garfinkle mentioned
on a radio talk show broadcast in the Boston area that he had corresponded
with developers with inside knowledge of Microsoft's Office Linux porting
efforts."
