Yes, there was a problem with the 1.2 MB boot images.   Apparently, the
machine I used to generate them has a 1.2 MB boot drive and 1.44 MB second
drive, but they were set up that way with a "swap floppies" option in
CMOS.  This doesn't work correctly with Linux, it seems, and produced
floppies that worked here and on some other (also probably similarly
configured) machines, but hung with "LI" on probably 80% of the machines
out there.  Anyway, once I tracked down the source of the problem a couple
of days ago I regenerated all the 1.2 MB bootdisks and replaced the ones
on the FTP site, so good discs can be downloaded from there:

Sorry for any inconvienience this bug has caused out there...
